Since 1972, QK has helped public agencies and private clients plan, design, and build the communities of California's Central Valley, Kansas, Missouri, and beyond.
QK brings civil engineering, land surveying, urban and environmental planning, landscape architecture, construction management, GIS, wildlife biology, and environmental permitting under one roof. Our teams work as one company, so a single client can move from feasibility through design, permitting, and construction without assembling a patchwork of subconsultants.
Our clients include cities, counties, special districts, water agencies, developers, agricultural operators, and energy and infrastructure owners. What ties that work together is a shared need: reliable information about land, infrastructure, and natural resources, delivered in a form decision-makers can act on. That is the role of QK's GIS department.
QK's GIS department turns spatial data into working tools for municipal, environmental, and private-sector clients. We build systems that staff actually use: web maps for the public counter, field apps for inspectors and biologists, and repeatable analyses that hold up to regulatory review.
We work primarily on the Esri ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder, Survey123, and Field Maps. We extend it with Python and ArcPy scripting, Arcade expressions, and automated reporting, so routine work runs faster and results stay consistent from project to project.

Overview:
We help agencies stand up, grow, and maintain a cloud GIS program:
• Program setup and administration. We configure ArcGIS Online organizations, user roles, groups, and sharing, and we manage the program on an ongoing or on-call basis.
• Web maps and apps. We build custom Experience Builder and dashboard applications for planning counters, public works, code enforcement, and public-facing information.
• Configurable Esri solutions. We deploy and adapt ArcGIS Solutions for local government. For example, we developed a phased plan to adapt Esri's Environmental Review solution into a development project tracking system for a local city, tied to county parcel data and the city's permitting platform.
• Field data apps. We design Survey123 forms and Field Maps projects so crews can inspect assets, log service requests, and collect data that flows straight into the agency's GIS.
• Technical support. We troubleshoot the issues that stall small programs, from service conflicts and print-widget problems to server connectivity.
Large-Scale Data Collection and Analysis for Private Clients
