Description:

SymGEO completed work with a confidential commercial real estate client to identify and construct 3d building models of approximately 1500 industrial buildings in Atlanta, Georgia. SymGEO used point location data, provided by the client, to identify the buildings of interest. Building footprints were then digitized from the clearest digital imagery available. ArcGIS Pro was used to create 3D models approximating the dimensions of the industrial buildings based on height attribute data provided with the building points. Shadows from aerial imagery were used to identify changes in roof elevation, and those sections were adjusted to be higher or lower than the specified height attribute data. Building models and technical documentation were provided to assist the client technical team with data integration. Technical assistance was also provided on demand to fine-tune the geocoding workflow and provide quality control.
