Esri field apps like Field Maps, Survey 123, and more benefit from the Trimble® Catalyst™ DA2 GNSS system. It provides a positioning solution for iOS and Android phones running any location-enabled software, providing simplified, affordable, and precise location information. Catalyst uses a USB-powered GNSS receiver (the Catalyst DA2 receiver) to track GNSS signals and computes position information directly on your phone. In conjunction with the DA2 receiver, Catalyst uses an all-in-one positioning service—users pick the accuracy level their workflow requires (with pricing tiers based on accuracy from 1 cm up to 60 cm available), and the Catalyst service figures out the rest. There is no need to subscribe to or set up additional services—the Catalyst subscription includes real-time corrections which are configured automatically via the Trimble Corrections Hub. The lightweight, compact size of the DA2 receiver makes it easy to carry and stow anywhere so it’s always ready to go whenever you need it for your Esri application.
