Singapore in Southeast Asia is at once an island, a city, and a country. With 5 million people condensed into 700 square kilometers, space is at a premium. Development of housing, transportation, and commerce requires careful planning. In this presentation from the 2014 Esri User Conference, delegates from Singapore's Urban Redevelopment Authority share how they use CityEngine to plan new communities and allocate land use. They have developed localized planning rules according to their unique requirements, and they can use CityEngine to adjust buildings according to those rules on the fly.
