CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORIES

Organizations across industries use ArcGIS Pro to meet business needs

TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS

A Vietnam port drives enhancements with a digital twin

Planners at Portcoast Consultant Corporation used ArcGIS Pro to create a 3D digital twin of the Cai Mep–Thi Vai port in Vietnam. This improved port capacity, reduced environmental impact, and decreased accidents.

The digital twin provides a detailed, interactive view of the port, including underground and underwater features, helping stakeholders make better decisions and optimize operations.

NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Addressing a critical water shortage

L&T Construction, India’s largest construction company, led a project to provide precise and water-saving irrigation to 27,000 hectares of land.

ArcGIS Pro was used to help optimize the planning, design, and management of the irrigation system, including a complex network of underground pipelines. Automating the division of farmland for water distribution cut the time needed in half.

URBAN PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

Dominion Energy streamlines pipeline expansion

Dominion Energy partnered with HDR on a major project to deliver natural gas to underserved areas in North Carolina. HDR deployed ArcGIS for AutoCAD with ArcGIS Pro to create a central hub for critical project information.

Maps were created in ArcGIS Pro, then shared out, and a multidisciplinary team used the hub to access and share the most current and standardized datasets. This integration reduced errors and enabled faster decision-making, ultimately resulting in the project’s overall success.

Organic Valley optimizes pastures for sustainable dairy

Organic Valley, the largest farmer-owned organic cooperative in the US, used custom maps and satellite imagery to improve grazing management and pasture health for their cows.

The co-op used ArcGIS Pro to analyze imagery and automate weekly custom reports for the farmers. The reports include information on paddock health, available biomass, and grazing recommendations. With ArcGIS Pro, Organic Valley can optimize milk production and promote environmental stewardship in organic dairy farming.
