Automatic Schematic Generation Software and ArcInfo 8

Esri and NetGraph Announce Integrated Software

Esri and NetGraph Information Technology of Paris, France, are embarking on the integration of NetGraph's automated schematic generation software with the ArcInfo GIS platform. Esri and NetGraph will work together to integrate automatic schematic generation into ArcInfo 8, and Esri will become the exclusive worldwide sales channel for NetGraph software for the GIS market.

When the integration is complete, it will be possible for GIS users to automatically generate schematic and geoschematic representations of geographic networks created and managed in ArcInfo geodatabases. Automating schematic production will save utility and transportation users tens of thousands of dollars annually.

"Following a detailed technical evaluation of the various systems available, Esri chose to work with NetGraph because we were impressed with their unique approach to schematic generation technology and the quality of the end results," says Jack Dangermond, president, Esri.

Says Patrick Dolemieux, CEO of NetGraph, "We are honored that Esri has selected our technology for the world-leading ArcInfo platform. This opens up a huge worldwide market for our technology."
