Seminar Assists Managers in GIS Planning and Implementation

The preconference seminar Managing a GIS at the 1999 Esri International User Conference in San Diego, California, was attended by a record number of people. Dr. Roger Tomlinson also offers Managing a GIS as a one- or two-day seminar throughout the year. Customers may have the seminar taught at their sites for up to 12 participants.

This seminar provides invaluable guidance to managers and administrators confronted with the complex task of overseeing GIS resources and personnel. Attendees come away with proven strategies on how to plan, implement, and manage a GIS; who should participate in the GIS planning process; how to carry out accurate cost-benefit analysis; which techniques work in the GIS implementation process; and more.
