Atlas: One template, many applications

By Krista McPherson

The Atlas Instant Apps template allows app authors to showcase a collection of maps and layers and includes lightweight tools to discover, view, and explore. Atlas is the underlying template for National Geographic’s new MapMaker, an app created to promote geographic awareness and support lessons in K-12 education. In addition to being an educational tool, the Atlas template provides a flexible and configurable way to create an interactive mapping experience for any audience.
