Jack Dangermond

Esri founder and president Jack Dangermond earned a master of architecture in urban planning from the University of Minnesota and a master of landscape architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD) in 1969. His early work in the school's Laboratory for Computer Graphics and Spatial Analysis (LCGSA) led directly to the development of Esri's ARC/INFO GIS software. He has been awarded 13 honorary doctoral degrees.

Amy Tong

In March 2022, Amy Tong was appointed secretary of government operations by Governor Gavin Newsom. She previously served as the state’s chief information officer and California Department of Technology (CDT) director, and as the director of the California Office of Digital Innovation. Amy is focused on state government improvement, including strategically managing state resources and advancing innovation. As a champion of data-driven decision-making, she strives to use new, cost-effective technologies for the benefit of California residents.

Maria MacGunigal

Maria MacGunigal serves as the chief information officer and IT director for the City of Sacramento. She has extensive experience in public and private sector IT, technology program leadership, strategy development, business process management, governance, technology planning, execution, and the implementation of organizational change. Maria has a degree in geography, and she established the City of Sacramento's GIS program, which informs a majority of the business systems in the city.
