Eric Wittner is a senior consultant at Langan, where he focuses on digital twins and their visualization, creation, and assessment, as well as procedural modeling, spatial analysis, and product management. With more than 25 years of experience in the geospatial domain, he brings deep expertise in software design, customer engagement, project visualization and analysis, and technology evangelism.

Prior to joining Langan, Eric spent 16 years developing 3D GIS and procedural modeling products at Esri, ultimately serving as senior product manager; five years leading GIS production for water quality and wetlands restoration research at the San Francisco Estuary Institute; and three years ensuring the quality and delivery of products for the $4.8 million federally funded Salton Sea Database Program at the University of Redlands.

As a thought leader, he has helped shape the vision and direction of 3D GIS, expanding its reach into urban planning, geodesign, and extended reality. He holds an MS in geographic information system (GIS) technology and a BA in environmental design from the University of Redlands, and has served as adjunct faculty at both the University of Redlands and Foothill College. From connected vehicle data products to civil engineering visualization, he continues to help organizations leverage 3D and spatial technology to enhance their workflows and support better decision-making.
