Ask Esri anything, from anywhere
Today, Esri offers multiple AI assistants to help you find information and get support. We’re working to bring them into a single experience accessible anywhere on esri.com.
Over time, this assistant will learn and adapt, delivering more relevant answers, directing you to the right people, and helping you take action. Your feedback during the beta phase will guide what comes next.
Your feedback is welcome. Share your ideas for new features, suggestions, or even a name for the AI assistant. User input will help us shape and refine it ahead of its full release.
Esri is incorporating AI into many of its digital and product experiences. On esri.com, you can access three distinct assistants:
The AI assistant featured on this page acts as a conversational guide on Esri’s website, focusing on questions you may have before or immediately after you start an Esri product.
The documentation assistant and Esri Support AI Chatbot focus on using Esri’s products and require an ArcGIS account. Over time, these experiences will become more connected, allowing you to access the support you need more seamlessly across esri.com.
In addition, ArcGIS products (such as ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro) include built-in AI assistants that help you complete tasks directly in the software, such as writing scripts, generating maps, or guiding workflows.
As part of Esri’s commitment to delivering the best possible experience on esri.com, we are introducing a prerelease (beta) of the AI assistant. This allows us to share it with you early and improve it based on your feedback before a broader rollout.
We welcome your ideas and comments in the form above. User input will shape how the assistant evolves, ensuring it meets your needs as we expand it across the website.
Please note that the beta version of the AI assistant is only available on desktop devices. It will be optimized for mobile devices in a future release.
The AI assistant is designed to provide reliable, up-to-date answers grounded in official Esri content, which is refreshed daily. Because it is still a beta experience, it may occasionally make mistakes. We recommend reviewing the sources it cites to verify important information.
The AI assistant will continue to improve through ongoing content updates and aggregated user feedback.
No, Esri uses pretrained models and does not incorporate your individual prompts or responses into model training. To improve the experience, we analyze aggregated, unidentifiable interaction patterns (such as common questions or topics), not individual user data.
The assistant is designed to minimize the use of personal information, and you are not required to provide any to use it.
No, the AI assistant does not require you to sign in.
If you choose to sign in with an ArcGIS account that is AI-enabled, you’ll gain access to personalized features like your saved chat history. Additional features for signed in users will be available in future releases.
You can create a free ArcGIS public account here.
You can interact with the assistant in multiple languages, and it will respond in your language. However, it is primarily grounded in English-language Esri content, which may affect the completeness or nuance of responses in other languages. The interface itself remains in English unless you change your site language preferences.
To access your chat history during the beta phase, you must be signed in with an AI-enabled ArcGIS account using the same browser you originally used to sign in.
The assistant is designed to minimize the use of personal information, and you are not required to provide any to use it. Interactions are handled in accordance with Esri’s privacy standards and applicable policies.
