Briefings are slide-based presentations that are an output of ArcGIS StoryMaps. The easy-to-use builder within ArcGIS StoryMaps helps you create slides with your dynamic ArcGIS content and incorporate maps, dashboards, and more directly within your presentation. After signing in to ArcGIS StoryMaps, you’ll find the option to view or create briefings on the top left of the page.  

The Briefings app allows you to view and present briefings offline so you can share slides with interactive maps and 3D scenes in remote and disconnected environments without an internet connection. The app is available for iOS and Android tablets and Windows tablets and computers.

Yes, the Briefings app can be used online to view and download the latest versions of your briefings created in ArcGIS StoryMaps. When you’re offline, you’ll be able to view the downloaded versions of your briefings. Any edits to your briefings can be made in ArcGIS StoryMaps.

When you add a map or 3D scene to a briefing in ArcGIS StoryMaps, the block settings menu has an offline option where you can upload alternative media that will display in the Briefings app when downloaded briefings are viewed offline. Here you can add a mobile map or mobile scene package created in ArcGIS Pro that you can interact with offline. Yes, you can use the installation files above to download the Windows x64 or Android Arm v8 (64-bit) versions of the app to deploy it to your organization’s devices.
