Empower project-based learning

Use maps and GIS to improve data collection and analysis for inquiry-based learning.

Boost your classroom projects with GIS

Projects are part of your classroom. From community science to research papers to capstone projects, your students are going beyond the textbook and solving real-world problems. Use a geographic information system (GIS) to collect high-fidelity spatial data, visualize the data with maps, and use analysis to turn data into knowledge.

Participate in a collaborative project using GIS

Using GIS in a project can be as simple as participating in an ongoing study. Observe plant and animal species with iNaturalist, find patterns in the loudness of sounds around you, or engage with another of these ready-to-participate spatial projects.
