Modernizing how utilities manage infrastructure

Many of the drinking water systems in the United States were built in the early- to mid-twentieth century, with an estimated life-span of 75–100 years. As these water systems continue to age, they become more of a concern to those managing them.

An estimated 240,000 water main breaks occur each year.

As utilities move into the future, aging infrastructure will become more of a challenge. When the American Society of Civil Engineers provided recommendations on how to prepare for the future, innovative technology was a key resource in solving this issue.

Esri's innovative technology supports best practices and industry standards for field data collection, real-world modeling, visualization, and analytics. Interoperable applications make it easy to provide actionable information to everyone that needs it.

Visit Esri's exhibit at AWWA ACE19 to learn how ArcGIS supports water system management by providing solutions for field data collection, managing main breaks, and performing analysis. Esri staff and industry partners will demonstrate solutions that can help you to manage your infrastructure more efficiently and plan for the future.
