Promoting food stability in northern Uganda through GIS and Geospatial Analysis

COVID, climate change, and the war in Ukraine have triggered a global food security crisis, disproportionately affecting vulnerable communities.

Join NGO Seeds for Development and innovative geospatial analysis experts from Alcis, as they demonstrate how, deep in the villages of northern Uganda, farmers are leveraging global innovation and technology to tackle these immense challenges head-on.

During the webinar we will discuss the use of Survey123, open data and tools available on Africa Geoportal, machine learning capabilities in ArcGIS Pro and dashboards to help with localisation, expose food security issues and Implement the humanitarian peace development nexus.

Learn about:

  • Extracting features from imagery using machine learning
  • Collecting farm information using Survey123
  • Monitoring project status using ArcGIS Dashboards
