Esri Finland Oy has recently been formed from the reorganization of Novo Meridian Oy (a subsidiary of WM-data Novo Plc), the former Finnish distributor of Esri's GIS software products and services.

Rickard Zetterberg takes up the role of chief executive officer. Observes Zetterberg, "While we will be operating under a new name, the transition from Novo Meridian to Esri Finland will be transparent to our customers who have become accustomed to superior support and service. We are positioning our new company to focus even more intently on the local market and expand the use of GIS to a wide variety of industries and applications."
