The 21st Esri European European User Conference 2006User Conference will be held in Athens, Greece, November 6–8, 2006, and organized by the local Esri distributor, Marathon Data Systems, Inc. The Hilton Hotel will be the setting for this event, which will attract approximately 1,000 participants.

The program will consist of an opening day with keynote speeches by Jack Dangermond, president of Esri; David Maguire, director of Products and International of Esri; and several other distinguished speakers. The following two days will feature technical briefings, as well as parallel sessions of user presentations. An exhibition with more than 30 Business Partner booths and a poster session will complete this event. Training courses about the latest Esri products will be provided before and after the conference.

"It will not be difficult to entertain the participants in Athens, which underwent a huge facelift for the 2004 Olympics," says Adonis Kontos, president of Marathon Data Systems. "Antiquities and modern architecture can now be admired side by side while the new underground transportation system makes it easy to get around."
