Esri, a long-time Sustaining Member of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), has become an ASPRS Member Champion and is alerting its employees, colleagues, and associates to join ASPRS: The Imaging and Geospatial Information Society.

This is an opportunity to become part of the premier international society of more than 6,500 professionals from private industry, government, and academia, working as a team to advance the practice of geographic information systems, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and related sciences in the 21st century.

ASPRS members are individuals--analysts/specialists, managers/administrators, product developers, technicians, scientists, and researchers--who are employed in the disciplines of the mapping sciences. The primary member benefits keep members up-to-date with what's happening in the industry with a monthly subscription to the PE&RS (Photogrammetric Engineering and Remote Sensing) journal, the most widely read journal in the profession. The ASPRS certification program is second to none. A certification is offered in Certified Mapping Scientist-GIS/LIS, which is a test-based certification combined with documented experience. New this year is a Certified Technologist certification to provide recognition of experienced photogrammetric, remote sensing, and GIS technicians and a developmental track to becoming professionally certified.
