Esri Office Opens in California's State Capital

Esri opened a satellite office in Sacramento, California, in January 2008 to provide services, support, and training for customers in the region.

The Sacramento office is a satellite to Esri's California regional office, based in Redlands. The new office at 1600 K Street, Suite 4C, will allow Esri to better support its users in central and northern California and Nevada and will provide a convenient site where government and private agency staff can spend time learning how to leverage GIS. Its downtown location is less than a mile from the State Capitol building and offers nearby parking, restaurants, and bus and light rail public transportation stops.

"As Esri and the GIS community grow, the Sacramento satellite office will give us the ability to better connect with our users in the region and provide GIS training, support, and services," says Nate Johnson, Esri regional manager for California, Nevada, and Hawaii. "Its location near the State Capitol building will provide government and private agencies using Esri software with the opportunity to work in close proximity with our GIS experts. Our new training lab will offer Esri's complete curriculum of instructor-led classes, and the new enterprise lab will provide a place for GIS knowledge to be shared among different user groups."

Sacramento joins several other major U.S. cities—such as Washington, D.C.; Boston, Massachusetts; St. Paul, Minnesota; and Denver, Colorado—with Esri office locations, where staff and GIS software users can attend technical workshops and seminars, host meetings and project briefings, and participate in additional Esri-authorized training. In addition to the new site, an office in Honolulu, Hawaii, also serves as a satellite to the Southwest and Pacific territory regional office in Redlands.

"We believe that the Sacramento satellite office will help Esri serve its users in the area to ensure that their businesses remain productive, effective, and profitable," said Esri president Jack Dangermond.

The address of the Esri Sacramento satellite office is 1600 K Street, Suite 4C, Sacramento, CA 95814. Call 916-448-2412. The fax number is 909-307-3025.
