arx iT designed and implemented a public Web GIS application for Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, providing residents with location-based information on waste collection services. Based on Esri ArcGIS technologies, the application enables users to instantly identify waste collection schedules according to their address or location on an interactive map. It provides information for multiple waste streams, including household waste, bulky waste, paper and bio-waste. The solution combines geospatial data, address-based search, interactive web mapping and municipal service information to provide citizens with simple and direct access to localized public services. This project demonstrates arx iT’s expertise in Esri ArcGIS, Web GIS, public-facing geospatial applications, location-based services, waste management GIS and the development of user-friendly digital services for local governments and Smart Cities.
