Description:

Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) are critical infrastructure elements for municipalities. Employing Machine Learning (ML) via ArcGIS Pro to find impervious area changes includes the creation of training data, ML models and verification with satellite imagery (50cm or better). ArcPy assists in semi-automation with the creation of training data. Future iterations will evolve through Deep Learning and decreasing the need for training data as new places are added. By utilizing Python and third-party Machine Learning frameworks like TensorFlow or Keras and ArcPy, future generations of the product will run much faster with fully automated processes and there will be no need for additional training data. With the help of this product, organizations will increase their tax income from MS4, revize their expansion plans across the urban landscape and organize their infrastructure in new settlement areas.
