Overview
Umojo builds the Nexus Platform, a smart city and mobility technology suite that turns streets, curbs, and parking facilities into managed, measurable assets with ArcGIS as the system of record. Our NexCity curb management suite creates a CDS-native digital twin of the curb: Curb Digitization builds the inventory from LiDAR and photogrammetry and loads it into ArcGIS; Digital Curb lets staff manage zones, policies, and time-of-day rules with stable IDs, audit logs, and automatic publication to APIs, dashboards, and signs; Curb Vision edge-AI cameras stream anonymized occupancy, dwell, turnover, and loading events; and Curb Intelligence delivers analytics and GIS-ready exports (GeoJSON, REST, CDS/MDS). Umojo also normalizes feeds from more than 40 parking and transportation vendors into open standards (CDS, MDS, GTFS, GBFS, APDS) so cities get one consistent geospatial dataset instead of vendor silos. NexPark, NexShield, NexResponse, and NexFlight extend the platform to parking operators, intelligent video, 24/7 command-center operations, and airport landside management. A USDOT SMART grant technology vendor for Minneapolis, San Jose, and Buffalo, Umojo is an active contributor to the Open Mobility Foundation’s CDS and MDS standards. Founded in the Chicago area, Umojo serves municipalities, transportation agencies, airports, universities, and parking operators across North America with hardware, SaaS, and managed services on U.S.-based infrastructure.
Services
Overview:
Umojo delivers the services that take a city from a curb on paper to a curb that is managed, measured, and kept current. Our field teams collect block-level inventory with LiDAR and photogrammetry, extract regulations, signs, and assets, and deliver the result as standards-based geospatial data ready for the city’s existing GIS environment. Implementation services cover data migration, configuration of zones and policies, integration with pay-by-phone, meter, enforcement, transit, and permitting systems, and normalization of third-party feeds into CDS and MDS. Umojo installs and maintains field hardware, including edge-AI cameras and e-paper and LCD signage, and operates a 24/7 command center for device health monitoring, incident response, and Tier 1 support. Advisory services help agencies design curb policy, pricing, and loading programs, structure grant-funded pilots, and build the reporting that demonstrates outcomes to councils and funders. Every engagement includes training, a dedicated customer success manager, and ongoing data stewardship so the city’s curb record stays authoritative as streets change. Services are available to public agencies through Sourcewell cooperative contract 120423-UMOJO.
