On page 6 of the "Software News" section of the Summer 2002 ArcNews (Vol. 24 No. 2), Esri announced its acquisition of a new automatic schematic generation technology called Netgraph. After that issue went to press, however, the product name "NG Spatial" was changed to "ArcGIS Schematics," which better reflects its integration into the ArcGIS product line as an ArcGIS extension.
