GIS was used extensively by local, state, and federal agencies in managing the multiple tasks surrounding the recent firestorms in Southern California. Similar to previous efforts in California, Esri has provided a multitude of resources to support the response to more than a dozen wildfires in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties. These events resulted in more than a half million evacuees, hundreds of thousands of acres burned, and thousands of properties destroyed.
