Esri Electric and Gas User Conference Promotes Smart Ideas for Utilities

September 19, 2011

Redlands, California—The Esri Electric and Gas User Conference is designed to facilitate collaboration among those who work to ensure reliable energy worldwide. The conference will be held October 9–12, 2011, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in Columbia, South Carolina.

Utility professionals gather annually at the Esri Electric and Gas User Conference to discuss technological advances and ingenious approaches that can help solve all levels of problems—from responding to customer outages and managing emergencies to implementing new technology and upgrading infrastructure.

New this year is a Hands-on Learning Lab with self-paced training sessions and Esri instructors available to answer questions. In addition, panel discussions will tackle smart grid implementation, data quality, and imagery. Technical workshops will cover the deployment of new applications for the web and mobile devices. Paper sessions will give the floor to other utilities to share success stories with regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, one-call ticket management, and other important issues.
