By using Aeronautical Solution, airports can efficiently manage, QC, and analyze their GIS data using automated airport toolsets.
Aeronautical Solution 10.1 supports the Aeronautical Information System (AIS) data model which is Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM) compliant. The AIS is fully extensible to meet the needs of individual users.
Aeronautical Solution 10.1 also supports an airports geodatabase model based on the FAA’s AC 150/5300-18B specification. This data model integrates an applicable schema for airports around the world to manage their GIS data.
Aeronautical Solution is bundled with components for data quality control, cartographic product generation, and workflow management for both AIM and airport users. It also includes a complete workflow tutorial and a sample database. Optional services are available that can be customized to your organization's needs.

Aeronautical Solution follows the same licensing model as ArcGIS, with key codes for concurrent use licensing and registration numbers for single use licensing.
Yes. Training courses are offered through Esri's Learning Center or at any appropriately equipped customer site. Training be given to key staff who will be using these tools. No. Esri Aeronautical Solution runs on ArcGIS for Desktop, which is not available for UNIX.
Yes. For AIM users, Aeronautical Solution provides a number of templates and workflows that can be customized to meet an organization's needs. New symbols and styles can be developed based on chart requirements. Tools and techniques from the configuration class will be useful in accomplishing any customization needs. The Aeronautical Information System (AIS) production procedures, available through Aeronautical Solution Help, provide additional support for defining and configuring the system based on an organization's specifications.
For airport and airport consultant users the Airports GIS package provides airport-specific templates and workflows that can be extended and customized to meet an organization’s unique business requirements. The package also includes an extensive data quality rule base that can be easily tailored to meet an organization’s data quality objectives.
No. To install and function correctly, the versions must match. For example, Aeronautical Solution 10.1 only works with ArcGIS 10.1.
