These capabilities allow the Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) user community to produce and maintain high-quality international specification compliant products with a significant amount of automation.
ArcGIS for Aviation: Charting, at 10.1, supports the Aeronautical Information System (AIS) data model which is Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM) compliant. The AIS is fully extensible to meet the needs of individual users.
ArcGIS for Aviation: Charting is bundled with components for data quality control, cartographic product generation, and workflow management for AIM users. It also includes a complete workflow tutorial and a sample database. Optional services are available that can be customized to your organization's needs.
Yes. ArcGIS for Aviation: Charting operates directly and dependently with Esri's core software. Please refer to the System Requirements for further information.
ArcGIS for Aviation: Charting follows the same licensing model as ArcGIS, with key codes for concurrent use licensing and registration numbers for single use licensing.
Yes. Training courses are offered through Esri's Learning Center or at any appropriately equipped customer site. Training can be given to key staff who will be using these tools. No. ArcGIS for Aviation: Charting runs on ArcGIS for Desktop, which is not available for UNIX.
Yes. For AIM users, ArcGIS for Aviation: Charting provides a number of templates and workflows that can be customized to meet an organization's needs. New symbols and styles can be developed based on chart requirements. Tools and techniques from the configuration class will be useful in accomplishing any customization needs.
No. To install and function correctly, the versions must match. For example, ArcGIS for Aviation: Charting 10.1 only works with ArcGIS 10.1.
