Demographic data provided by Environics Analytics, including 2010, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2025 updates and projections, are available. These variables, augmented by Adjusted Census 2011 data, are aggregated at the province, census division, census subdivision, census metropolitan area, census tract, federal electoral district, postal forward sortation area (FSA), and dissemination area (DA) levels.
Environics Analytics customer profiling system, PRIZM5, classifies Canadian neighborhoods into 68 distinct market segments based on the most important drivers of consumer behavior: demographics, lifestyles, and values. PRIZM5 data is available at the dissemination level (DA) in the Enhanced Dataset product and Standard Dataset product.
Esri extracts its business data from a comprehensive list of businesses licensed from Infogroup. This business list contains data on more than 1.4 million Canadian businesses--including the business name, location, franchise code, industry classification code, number of employees, and sales volume.
