The release of ArcGIS Pro 3.6 for ArcGIS Aviation Charting and ArcGIS Aviation Airports includes enhanced tools to further support your airport, charting, data management, migration, and design needs. This blog article contains more information about these updates.
ArcGIS Aviation Charting
New tool
The following ArcGIS Aviation Charting tool has been added to the Data Management toolset:
Generate Procedure Leg Geometry
The Generate Procedure Leg Geometry tool generates geometry from procedure legs to correct loaded AIXM data lacking proper geometry. The tool also analyzes each selected procedure leg geometry based on the TYPE_CODE and the corresponding ARINC 424 geometry definition. This tool will navigate the relationships to appropriate point features, angle or distance indication rows based on the Procedure leg point geometry relationship. The tool will then create geometry for the feature and updated as appropriate based on the presence of existing geometry.
Product data files updates
The ArcGIS Aviation Charting product data files now includes the Create Aviation AOIs utility tool which allows you to generate densified, and attributed AOI polygons from a map frame, within a layout. Additionally, this tool will work on rotated map frames, the output AOI features will have the same rotation applied as seen within a layout.
In both the ArcGIS Aviation Charting and ArcGIS Aviation Airports product data files, the Update Aviation Geodatabase Schema tool is now available as an add-in.
This add-in auto compares the source database and target xml workspace in your project when both are selected to save and report differences between them. You can also use this add-in to update your source database.
