Transitioning from Legacy Crowdsource Apps to Modern Instant Apps

By Suba Krishnan

The classic Crowdsource Reporter, Crowdsource Manager, and Crowdsource Polling apps have served their purpose well. However, these legacy apps are scheduled to retire—as outlined in the ArcGIS Configurable Apps Retirement Roadmap. Now is the time to transition to modern alternatives.

The Reporter Instant App and Manager Instant App have reached full feature parity with these retiring templates. They offer a more refined experience for both public engagement and internal report management. With responsive layouts, built-in commenting, intuitive editing tools, and streamlined configuration, these apps simplify the process of collecting input and managing reports—creating a flexible foundation for end-to-end issue reporting and resolution workflows.

For organizations that prefer a structured, solution-based approach, the Citizen Problem Reporter solution also remains available.
