Esri Young Professionals Network (YPN)

Esri YPN Chapters Coming to a Region Near You!

Announcing 7 new regional chapters across the United States

Engaging the next generation of young GIS professionals has always been part of Esri’s DNA. By promoting the power of maps in K-12 classrooms, Esri provides students with valuable tools to enhance critical and spatial thinking skills that guide them into their college years. The next step on this path of a lifelong GIS learner is to become a member of the Esri Young Professionals Network (YPN) and stay engaged through joining a YPN Regional Chapter.

YPN was created to foster a community for higher education students who are exploring careers in GIS, those starting their career journey, or experienced professionals that are new (or young) to the GIS field. Members learn about the power of location technology, connect with like-minded peers and industry experts, and gain leadership experience that can advance their careers. We like to say “Esri YPN is a network for all.”

The network has grown to an almost 20,000-strong community with members from all over the world. The Esri YPN team has hosted programs at Esri conferences since 2015 and is now expanding its footprint in the United States with regional chapters.

We are thrilled to announce the new chapters in the following locations:

YPN Washington DC Regional Chapter
YPN Redlands, CA Regional Chapter
YPN Denver, CO Regional Chapter
YPN St. Louis, MO Regional Chapter
YPN Philadelphia, PA Regional Chapter
YPN Charlotte, NC Regional Chapter
YPN San Antonio, TX Regional Chapter

Join a YPN Regional Chapter

A core team of YPN Ambassadors will host quarterly in-person meetups and can vary in format – a tech transfer, panel style, industry-specific trends, mentor Q&A, resume review, speed networking, and Esri partner highlights. Meetups will be hosted at an Esri regional office, partner office, or another venue.

Benefits of attending these YPN Meetups:

Esri Young Professionals Network has created these meetups to inspire young pros and those new to GIS to stay connected via this geospatial community. Explore networking opportunities, ways to innovate, hone your leadership skills and receive tech updates. Esri welcomes you to find your peer group of emerging GIS leaders that you can build and nurture relationships with for years to come.

Patty Mims, Director of Global National GovernmentEsri

The legacy of Esri YPN will continue to make an impact on the careers of young professionals by providing them with the tools and resources to enhance their skills.
