Using the ArcGIS platform, the Municipality of Ribeirão Preto is modernizing its territorial management. The Municipality of Ribeirão Preto has just launched the Geoportal, an innovative digital platform that brings together the city’s geographic and urban planning information in a single place. This free service is available for consultation via the Geoportal Ribeirão Preto link on the City Hall website and promises to make it easier to access essential data for citizens, researchers, entrepreneurs, and other interested users. The Geoportal offers intuitive navigation through information on public facilities, topography, hydrography, and properties, providing details such as location, official address, block and lot numbers, as well as urban cadastral records. The platform also provides information on municipal urban planning legislation, enabling users to immediately check land-use and zoning rules, such as setbacks, building coverage ratio, permeable area requirements, height limits, and specific restrictions for subdivisions. Modernization and Transparency The tool is the result of investments from the Program for the Modernization of Tax Administration and the Management of Basic Social Sectors (PMAT), financed by BNDES. Integrated with the Multifunctional Technical Cadastre, the Geoportal aims to provide greater transparency and modernization of public services, allowing the population quick and reliable access to the city’s information.
