Description:
JabMap enables the user of hydraulic software packages to get reliable information about flooded areas. The ArcView GIS extension conveniently generates the maps. Potential extension and depth of water are presented in a clear and understandable manner. Required data is the result of one-dimensional water level profiles and a DEM. (Break lines often have to be included.) Cross sections of the river must also be digitally available. The functionality of the GIS includes preparation of DEM data and calculation of the floodplains.
