Description:
The main goal of the parks and gardens information systems is to set up a system based on geographic information which helps Parks and Gardens Directorate under the Turkish municipalities for undertaking their tasks about development of green areas in the city. The system operates under ArcGIS environment and provides the full automation of Parks and Gardens Directorate for information sharing, planning, repair and maintenance, storage and management of engineering projects. The system forms a part of municipal information system and can share and use the GIS database layers of the whole city. The system is operational at the Metropolitan City of Istanbul.
