New Training and Certification Offerings

Training

Grow Your Professional GIS Skills

Developed and delivered by in-house experts, Esri’s instructor-led courses serve experienced GIS users and novices alike. They benefit anyone who uses ArcGIS software to support their daily workflows, enhance projects with geographic context, and create information that supports better decision-making. Classes are taught in person, online, and as private training events for a group. These new and updated courses are available now.

Get Started with ArcGIS Arcade—This new two-day course introduces the Arcade expression language and concepts that underlie writing and executing Arcade scripts across the ArcGIS system (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS apps). Course exercises include building Arcade expressions to customize map labels and pop-ups, create field calculations, and enable data validation.

Creating Python Scripts for ArcGIS—This popular three-day course introduces the Python environment in ArcGIS Pro and teaches how to automate common data management tasks and geoprocessing workflows.

Expand Your GIS Horizons in a MOOC

Esri’s massive open online courses (MOOCs) are informative, fun, and available at no cost. The following courses are back by popular demand and include access to the latest ArcGIS software. A certificate is awarded for course completion.

Cartography.—In progress now and running from April 3 to May 15, this fan-favorite MOOC features a panel of experienced cartographers sharing techniques that can bring your data to life in 2D and 3D maps. If you’re interested in this topic, you can still join the course and practice making high-quality maps using ArcGIS Pro. Register by April 17 to join the course.

GIS for Climate Action—If you missed the debut offering of Esri’s newest MOOC last year, join the second cohort from May 1 to June 12 to learn how GIS is making a positive impact on climate change. Hear from climate experts; explore climate change scenarios; and build skills to create data that supports informed decisions using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Dashboards, and ArcGIS StoryMaps.

Learn New GIS Tips and Tricks

Every four to six weeks, Esri Academy hosts a no-cost live training seminar on a technology topic. Over the course of one hour, Esri subject matter experts discuss new ArcGIS capabilities, demonstrate GIS workflows, and share their favorite tips to work efficiently and get better results with ArcGIS software. Recent and upcoming topics include ArcGIS Experience Builder (March 28), Survey123 Connect (May 2), and Python (June 13). All seminars are recorded and available on demand at Esri Academy after the live event. View the live training seminar schedule and request calendar reminders at Courses by Schedule.
