First set the scale range properties for the specific layer you are selecting on. Right click the layer, click Properties, click the General tab and set the In beyond (Maximum Scale) to the scale you want. Once that is set, whenever you select “Zoom to selected features”, the display will zoom to the specific scale you set.”
This works only with the layer line and polygons, but does not work with point layer.
Answer: It worked for me! Try it again. Set the value for the In Beyond option of the scale range on the General tab of the Layer Properties dialog of the point layer, then use the Select by Attributes tool, then use the Zoom to Selected Features option.
