Monthly Linux Tip: Ubuntu 20.04 meets ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1

Every month, the Monthly Linux Tip series aims to educate ArcGIS Enterprise on Linux users on various topics. This month, I would like to take a different direction and make more of an (exciting) announcement. Due to customer demand, Ubuntu 20.04 is officially a supported OS for ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1!

Through extensive testing, the ArcGIS Enterprise team was able to successfully certify this OS. To clarify, Ubuntu 20.04 will be added to the current list of supported Linux operating systems; existing OSes remain supported. The documentation will be updated soon to account for this change in supported systems.

For those that are using Ubuntu 20.04.1, please keep in mind the following excerpt from the documentation: Prior and future updates or service packs on these operating system versions are supported unless otherwise stated. The operating system version and updates must also be supported by the operating system provider.

Short blog this month, but please leave a comment if you have any questions or wish to see a topic for next month. Thank you for reading this Monthly Linux Tip!
