Esri Geoportal Server is a free, open-source, standards-based metadata catalog management application that enables the discovery and use of geospatial and nongeospatial resources. It consists of two stand-alone components—Server and Harvester—and complements ArcGIS for organizations managing, serving, and harvesting metadata.

Currently using ArcGIS? Esri also provides metadata management, data catalog tools, and search capabilities to share open and secure content in an integrated way.

Harvest catalogs

The Harvester component in Esri Geoportal Server is a module that supports harvesting metadata and data assets from other catalogs and brings that content for data users into Geoportal, local folders, or ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.

Connect producers and consumers

Esri Geoportal Server is an open-source product that enables discovery and use of geospatial resources. Standards-based geoportals help connect geospatial data producers with consumers, such as data users and data scientists, to integrate metadata catalogs with other enterprise systems.
