Patrick Wallis

Patrick Wallis has held various roles related to facilities at Esri since 2011, and now directs Esri's new Built Environment Innovation Lab. He started his career as an engineer officer and captain with the US Army and later spent seven years with the US Coast Guard as an asset manager and planner. Wallis is originally from New Orleans, where he learned to cook Cajun classics and appreciate the Meters' music as well as a good hurricane cocktail. He studied at Tulane, where he received his master's in architecture, and he is a certified GIS professional and city planner. Wallis has been happily married for over 20 years, has two grown kids, and lives with three dogs—one of which recently won a happiest dog contest. In his spare time, he enjoys brewing beer, repairing classic cars, and discussing philosophy with anyone who will listen.
