ArcGIS Monitor at Esri 2023 User Conference

The annual Esri International User Conference 2023 is happening next month in San Diego, CA. It’s the largest gathering of GIS professionals in the world covering all industries and applications of GIS. Register for the event here.

ArcGIS Monitor collects data and information on the status, usage, availability, and resource utilization of your enterprise GIS. It complements ArcGIS Enterprise deployments by enabling managers and administrators to proactively manage their enterprise GIS. Monitor can help reduce and prevent system downtime and therefore reduce operational costs. Preconference Seminar

ArcGIS Monitor: Technical Deep Dive – Traditional UC Preconference Seminar (only 6 spots left)

Level: intermediate

This session is for GIS administrators and IT staff supporting ArcGIS Enterprise deployments or managed services. Attendees will learn how to get started with ArcGIS Monitor 2023 and understand how to monitor, measure, and interpret ArcGIS Enterprise health, performance, and usage. You’ll also learn about monitoring best practices, integration with ArcGIS Dashboards, webhooks notification, factor alerts, scheduled maintenance, and extending monitoring capabilities.

ArcGIS Monitor: An Introduction
Tuesday July 11, 10 am                  Room 15A | SDCC
Level: beginner

ArcGIS Monitor complements ArcGIS Enterprise by providing tools to monitor the health of your enterprise GIS implementations. In this session, we will provide an overview of the next generation release ArcGIS Monitor 2023. Topics include: set-up and configuration, adding components, creating collections, configuring alerts, and understanding analysis. Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise is recommended.

ArcGIS Monitor: Operational Scenarios
Wednesday July 12, 8:30 am       Room 5A | SDCC
Level: intermediate

ArcGIS Enterprise administrators and managers require effective monitoring solutions to meet the growing demand for feature-rich, highly available, and high-performing ArcGIS deployments. In this session, we’ll discuss advanced techniques used to resolve common operational scenarios related to health, performance, and usage of your ArcGIS Enterprise implementation.

ArcGIS Monitor and You: Perfect Together!
Wednesday July 12, 2:30 pm       Pacific Ballroom 21 | Marriott

At SJI, GIS plays a critical role in the management of our gas utilities. We maintain a 99.9% up-time for our critical applications. To achieve this, SJI leverages a high-availability environment with of 22 servers in our GIS production environment and another 35 in our lower environments. To help maintain and improve our enterprise system, SJI uses ArcGIS Monitor to provide real-time feedback on the health of the GIS enterprise, identify bottlenecks and failures, and send alerts IT staff before they become an issue for the business.
