We are excited to introduce the 2026 Network Management release plan, which includes ArcGIS Enterprise 12.1 and ArcGIS Pro 3.7. This release continues our focus on delivering dependable, scalable capabilities for organizations managing increasingly complex utility and telecommunications networks. As customers advance in their network modernization journeys, this release is designed to provide both stability and targeted innovation where it matters most.
The 2026 release brings continued investment in network modeling and operational visibility. A key highlight is the release of telecom domain network, which expands our ability to model and manage fiber networks using a purpose-built framework. As telecommunications providers modernize their infrastructure, the new telecom domain network provides a more natural way to represent real-world assets and workflows within GIS, enabling more accurate analysis and improved operational efficiency.
To address a long standing request, we have also enabled the support for visualizing flow direction within the network. This capability provides greater insight into how resources move through utility systems, helping engineers and analysts better understand network behavior, troubleshoot issues more effectively, and make more informed operational decisions. We are also continuing to refine the experience for administrators managing Utility Network deployments. Updates to administration workflows aim to simplify configuration, improve manageability, and reduce the operational overhead required to maintain complex network models. These improvements are especially valuable for organizations scaling their deployments and/or supporting multiple environments.
The blog here provides a detailed overview of the new capabilities and enhancements introduced in this Network Management release, along with a discussion of the licensing updates being introduced with ArcGIS Pro 3.7.
As part of this Network Management release, it is also important to understand how the ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro lifecycle supports long-term planning. Starting with ArcGIS Enterprise 12.0, Esri introduced an updated lifecycle model that simplifies support and upgrade decisions. Each long-term support release progresses through phases such as General Availability and Extended Support, where software remains eligible for technical support and patches. Notably, long-term support (LTS) releases are supported for approximately four years, while short-term support releases have a shorter lifecycle. This updated approach ensures that supported versions continue to receive security patches and technical support throughout their lifecycle, helping organizations maintain stable and secure deployments while planning upgrades more effectively.
The 2026 Network Management release reflects our continued commitment to helping utilities and telecommunications providers transition from legacy systems to modern, enterprise-grade network management. By combining stability and targeted enhancements, this release enables organizations to move forward with confidence as they build more connected, resilient, and future-ready network systems.
