The Esri Nonprofit Program allows qualified nonprofit organizations to license and use Esri’s powerful mapping and analytical tools and authoritative data for an affordable price. To access ArcGIS for Nonprofits licenses, nonprofit organizations must be deemed eligible for the Nonprofit Program by applying at esri.com/nonprofit.

It is the same software but priced for nonprofit organizations to be used for mission-driven, noncommercial projects.

With ArcGIS for nonprofit organizations, you get the latest versions of our software. By continuing your yearly subscription, you will always have access to the latest and greatest Esri software at a low price.

ArcGIS Online is sold through annual user type licenses that provide access to ArcGIS from anywhere, on any device. If your organization does not already have an ArcGIS account, also known as an ArcGIS organization, you can get access to ArcGIS Online by buying a Creator or Professional Plus user type. The cloud infrastructure required to start your ArcGIS Online organization is included and can be scaled based on your storage and compute needs.

ArcGIS Online is a software as a service. If you need a self-hosted deployment of ArcGIS, you can purchase ArcGIS Enterprise by working with an Esri sales representative. 

Once you have purchased access to ArcGIS Online by buying a Creator or Professional Plus user type, you will be able to sign in to your ArcGIS Online account. An ArcGIS Online organization is a group of users from a company who can work together using ArcGIS apps and capabilities in a shared environment. After purchasing additional user types, you can then add your team to your organization from your ArcGIS account.

With the purchase of ArcGIS for nonprofit organizations, you will be given access to ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World. There is always new content available in ArcGIS Living Atlas, such as ready-to-use, authoritative data layers, curated and prepared for easy ArcGIS integration. Stimulate your creativity by exploring inspiring spatial content from thousands of organizations, including interactive maps and apps.

ArcGIS for nonprofit organizations provides access to free training via the Esri Training site. Whether you’re new to ArcGIS or a seasoned GIS professional who wants to become an expert in the latest technology, we have the resources to help you achieve your goals.

ArcGIS Online subscriptions have the flexibility to grow with you. Users can add more user types at any time.

No, per the terms of our Master Agreement, each user type license must be used by a single person. Each team member must be assigned their own user type, and user type licenses may not be shared.

All user type purchases provide one year of access. You will be notified each year when your term is expiring, and you can choose to renew at the current rates.
