Description:
CE Desktop Indoor plans in-building radio coverage in ArcGIS Pro from CAD, shapefile or PDF floor plans. It is the indoor module of CE Desktop and uses the same workspace, templates and prediction engine as CE Desktop RCP. Mobile operators, neutral-host and DAS integrators, Wi-Fi designers, consultants and facility owners use it for offices, campuses, hospitals, shopping centres, stations and industrial halls. The Create Indoor Workspace tool accepts DWG and DXF drawings, line shapefiles and PDF plans, vector or scanned. The plan is placed on the map and moved, scaled and rotated to fit the building. Each CAD layer, such as walls, concrete, glass or doors, gets a clutter class, and one click writes the elevation, clutter class and clutter height rasters that every prediction uses. Propagation follows the CEC 3GPP TR Indoor model, from 0.5 to 100 GHz, with the 3GPP TR 38.901 indoor methods: wall losses by material (drywall about 5 to 10 dB, concrete 15 to 35 dB, glass 2 to 10 dB), floor penetration for multi-storey buildings and line-of-sight probability for large open halls. Coefficients are open for adjustment in the Prediction Model Manager. Small cells, Wi-Fi access points and DAS antennas are entered as cells with their own height, pattern, frequency and power; for a DAS, the power is what remains after cables, splitters and tappers. Multi-object templates and batch creation place whole antenna groups. RF Prediction returns signal level and best server at sub-metre resolution and, for 4G and 5G, RSRQ, RS-SINR and throughput; Visibility Prediction adds line of sight and clearance. With CE Desktop RCP in the same workspace, outdoor cells predicted with outdoor-to-indoor loss show how much signal already reaches the building before indoor equipment is added.
