How to Visualize Uncertainty With Know-It-All Vector Data

It’s just the very nature of the vector data format to be absolute and binary. Yes here, cross a perfect line, no there. Such confidence, while a necessary component of storing vector polygon data, is often a lie. How do we truth up our maps so that they communicate the uncertainty inherent in any phenomenon?
