Just a few days ago, the ArcGIS Architecture Center and Well-Architected Framework released some exciting new features and enhancements. And though we’re excited to highlight these changes, the goals of the site remain the same, to empower you as IT professionals, architects, support team members, and GIS professionals with foundational information about ArcGIS, and guide your organizations in making knowledgeable decisions when implementing systems with ArcGIS.

If you’re new to this site, check out this tour and introduction: Developer Summit 2024: A tour of the ArcGIS Well-Architected Framework.
Design updates
With the updated site design, you’ll find new and improved ways to interact with a wide selection of content and resources to design, build, and sustain systems in ArcGIS.
Architecture Library
In the newly introduced Library page, you’ll find various sets of curated content, including featured content, architecture examples and test studies, case studies, technical guides, tools, and training available.
Learn more by exploring Featured and other content in the Library.

Architecture Library gallery
In the Architecture Library gallery page, new options are available to select and filter multiple categories of content, such as those for test studies and reference architectures, blogs and guides, and more. Each card in the gallery indicates when corresponding resources are new to the site or updated, so you can quickly find the latest most relevant resources.
Browse all content or filter and search by your preferences in the Architecture Library gallery.

Content updates
Several content updates are also available, including those within the Well-Architected Framework:
- Physical design considerations is a new topic in the architecture practices section focused on considerations for ArcGIS Enterprise-based or other ArcGIS systems
- Updated architecture practices topics, including those to Extend ArcGIS with SDKs and APIs, Monitor system performance, to apply Authorization and access models, as well as ArcGIS authentication models and providers
In addition, a new test study that examines and compares the performance and user experience of a Network Information Management System is available. To learn more, see the Performance and usability comparison with SAP HANA RISE.

And that was just a sneak peek! We hope you enjoy. But don’t take our word for it, see and experience the updates for yourself! Head over to the website now.
