Apple CEO Tim Cook took the stage on June 5th, 2017, at the Worldwide Developers Conference and introduced iOS 11. The expected release date is “Fall” of 2017 and historically these releases come near the end of September or early in October.
With any major OS update, there are concerns about compatibility. Within Esri, we are constantly testing ArcGIS Apps against previous, present and future versions of iOS. Each of our apps have a series of “sanity tests” that are exercised against each beta release.
We recently tested against the beta 6 pre-release version and are happy to report that the current released versions of the following apps successfully passed sanity on both iPhone and iPad devices:
- Collector for ArcGIS
- Explorer for ArcGIS
- Workforce for ArcGIS
- Navigator for ArcGIS
- Survey123 for ArcGIS
- AppStudio Player for ArcGIS
We will continue to certify additional betas as well as the golden master version (GM) and final when released. We will update this blog article as we certify each additional beta release.
