Question: Can you show a legend in ArcScene? i.e. the symbology for the TINS being displayed. I am exporting the scene to a graphic and need a legend to explain the symbology. Thanks.
Answer: The answer is no, you cannot show a legend in ArcScene. Neither ArcScene or ArcGlobe have any layout capability; hence there is no way to add a legend to either or get one out.
Probably the best way to do this would be to export the image or images out of ArcScene, then save the layers out as layer files. Go into ArcMap, and add the layer files to the ArcMap document. In Layout mode, drag the data frame off the screen. Insert the exported image as a picture, and then insert the legend for the 2D map. It’s a bit of a workaround, but it should work!
