Release highlights:

Introducing centralized data references

Our most anticipated feature for this release is centralized data references. Data references provide a brand-new experience to the way that you add and manage data types with data-driven elements in your workflow diagram.

In the old experience, sourcing items from your ArcGIS Organization was an extensive process, which meant navigating between the web app and portal to copy the item ID, having trouble locating all items that were associated with a workflow diagram, and not knowing for certain if an item type was compatible with a step template.

After creating a new workflow diagram or upgrading to the data references format, a new tab appears in the Diagram panel with all step data converted and stored on the Data References tab.

Search for items based on reference type, capability, item ID, or hosting environment. The data references panel is easy to navigate, can validate data references, and lists information about the hosting environment, item type, capability, and status.

The Add Data Reference dialog box provides a quick and easy way to associate data with a workflow diagram

The data references format provides a convenient way to locate and manage items associated with your workflow diagram from one centralized location.

Retry requests with the Send Web Request step

Note: The Advanced Settings tab requires an ArcGIS Workflow Manager Advanced organization extension license

The Advanced Settings tab is the latest addition to the Send Web Request step and allows you to configure the step to automatically retry requests until a specific set of conditions are met. Set the amount of retries, create custom variables, and combine arguments for added logic. Advanced Settings improve error handling and help reduce the need for manual intervention.

Custom Search is a new shared search that contains the default display and sort fields for the Manage and Work page. While these values are predefined, they can be modified to set custom search results for other workflow item users. And if you added or removed too many values, you can always revert back to the original search values from the More Actions menu.

Open ArcGIS Survey123 surveys in expanded view

No need to squint—survey views are no longer restricted to the job card! The Survey123 step now includes the option to open ArcGIS Survery123 surveys in expanded view when the step is run.
